HARRISBURG, Pa. – The U.S. Marshals Service announced the separate arrests of Jose Ruiz-Hernandez, 35, from York and Ronald Dailey, 54, formerly of Steelton for failure to update their home addresses as sex offenders as required under Megan’s Law.

Ruiz-Hernandez was convicted in September, 2009, of Unlawful Sexual Contact in the 3rd Degree upon a minor victim in Delaware.  His conviction required that he register as a sex offender.  In March, 2015 he registered a home address in York.  Earlier this year, Ruiz-Hernandez didn’t update his registration as required and the York City Police Department charged him with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.

Dailey was convicted in June, 2009 in Vermont for Lewd and Lascivious Conduct with a Child.  The conviction required Dailey to register as a sex offender.  In March, 2015, Dailey registered a home address in Steelton.  In December, 2015, the Swatara Township Police Department learned that Dailey had moved from his home without updating his registration and fled Pennsylvania.  Swatara Township obtained an arrest warrant charging Dailey with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and asked the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) to apprehend him.
