CARROLL VALLEY, Adams County, Pa. — A convicted sex offender is arrested after police say he lived at an address that also houses a daycare facility. Carroll Valley Police say Michael John Beam, 48, lived at 27 Sunfish Trail for over a year. As a convicted sex offender, Beam is required to register his whereabouts under Megan’s Law. Beam was registered as living and working in Blair County, PA and was to drive a 2000 Suzuki vehicle. Tipsters told police Beam was driving a white pickup truck with L&M Home Improvements on the side.

“We are asking anyone who had their children in day care at 27 Sunfish Trail in the last year, or at any time when Beam was living there, to contact CPL Clifford Weikert at 717-642-8269 Ext 29 or Weikert@carrollvalley.org,” said Carroll Valley Police Chief Richard L. Hileman II.

Police say they believe the residence no longer has a day care license of any kind and Beam has now registered at that address.
Beam was arrested on Sunday, May 9th and taken to the Adams County Booking Center where he was committed by Magisterial District Judge Bowman in lieu of $25,000 cash bail. Beam later posted bail and was released pending a May 18th preliminary hearing.
