HARRISBURG, Pa.-- Late Tuesday evening, the House of Representatives passed a bill that would prevent doctors from performing dilation or evacuation abortions.

In a vote of 132 to 65, the House voted to approve the bill that would ban abortion after 20 weeks. Currently, the law stands at 24 weeks.

This result came after hours of heated debate in which some argued that the bill was passed without proper hearings and information from doctors. Others believe that the bill gives a voice to the unborn children who can't defend themselves.
