Folcroft, Pa. — WPVI is reporting that Christopher Dorman, a Folcroft police officer, was shot seven times Friday.
Folcroft Police Department reports that Dorman confronted some people he said were smoking drugs behind an apartment complex. Among the shots he sustained, police report, Dorman was shot in the face and in his lower extremities.
The 25-year-old police officer was wearing a protective vest, which is where he may have been hit several times. He is currently in critical, but stable condition.
“He’s been shot numerous times at this point. He’s stable but critical, so that’s all I can tell you. He’s stable but critical,” Chief Robert Ruskowski said. “Where all he was shot I’m not sure. I was told by the doctors that thank God he had his vest on.”
Police are investigating, and an arrest has been made.
