This week, we head to Spring Creek Golf Course in Dauphin County for the Beasley Ford FOX43 Golf Tip of the Week.  The goal is to hit the ball straight.

Jeff Galbraith, Spring Creek Golf Course

"The purest and simplest form of straight ball flight is based on two things occurring during the golf swing.

The first one is the head of the golf club traveling on a line that matches where I intend the ball to go, my target.  So the head of the golf club traveling into the ball and ultimately threw the ball and out on a line that matches where I want the ball to go.

The second piece of this is where the face of the golf club is pointed when I strike the ball.  As the club is coming through the ball, I want to try to get the face of the golf club square or true to the line that the head is traveling on and the path the club is traveling on.  Hopefully those two things are matching or aiming towards my end target.  The better than I can do that the more accurate that I can be.

So again, the more accurately or precisely I can get the head of the club to travel the path and the face of the club to square to that line, the more accurate I can be, which means more balls in the fairway, more balls on the green."
