LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. – A Marietta man is arrested after he is caught wearing only his underwear in a county park this afternoon.
At 2:05 p.m. West Hempfield Township Police Officer Karl Hartranft was conducting routine patrols of Breezyview Park located along Route 441. Upon entering the park, Officer Hartranft observed two vehicles parked side by side, each with a male occupant seated in the driver seat.
The males quickly hung their heads and began acting like they were sleeping when they observed Hartranft’s marked cruiser.
Officer Hartranft parked his cruiser and approached the vehicles on foot and observed Ronald E. Barninger, 64 of Marietta, wearing only his underwear and exposing his private area while still pretending to be sleeping.
During the investigation, it was found that Barninger had previously been involved in similar conduct in 2013 at the same park and was given notice against Trespass by the Lancaster County Park Rangers.
Barninger will be issued a summons for Open Lewdness.
