YORK, Pa.-- The Martin Library is offering classes to children this week. It if for children entering the fourth, fifth, or sixth grade.
The classes are in partnership with the Positive Energy Arts Foundation. The group said this helps to enhance the art scene in York.
York County Library System President Robert Lambert said it helps to create a strong educational foundation for children.
"Libraries are about connecting kids with new and exciting ways to learn new things," he said. "We are more than just books and we are excited about doing this."
They have more classes being offered during the summer. Most of them are already booked. The Positive Energy Arts Foundation is looking to create an after school program soon.
