LEMOYNE, Pa.–A 59 year-old woman was arrested Monday evening after she tried to use a stun gun on a West Shore Regional Police officer.

The officer was dispatched to the West Shore Plaza located along the 1200  of Market Street in Lemoyne for suspicious activity around 6:30 p.m.

Police say Marguerite Phelps, no fixed address, had been walking around the plaza all day, loitering in and out of stores. While investigating, officers discovered Phelps had active warrants out for her arrest. Investigators say Phelps attempted to use a personal stun gun on an officer while she was being taken into custody.

Phelps is charged with simple assault, resisting arrest, use or possession of electric or electronic incapacitation device and prohibited offense weapons.

She was taken to Cumberland County Prison.
