JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Pa.–Police are investigating the death of a 26-year-old York man whose body was found in a Jackson Township yard on Friday afternoon.
Brian Reed Jr. was found in a backyard of a home along the 200 block of Stitt Drive around 12:20 p.m. Friday. Investigators say Reed was alive when he was found, but was very ill.
He was taken to York Hospital and was pronounced dead around 11:39 p.m. His death has been labeled suspicious, according to a news release from the York County coroner’s office.
An autopsy was conducted at Lehigh Valley Hospital on Saturday morning. It is still unclear of the cause and manner of Reed’s death, pending the return of toxicology/tissue testing. It could take between 2 and 3 months to get the results back.
Northern York County Regional Police are handling the investigation.
