Dump truck overturns after crash on Willow Street Pike

WEST LAMPETER TWP., Lancaster County, Pa. — A crash between a pickup and a dump truck closed Willow Street Pike for a few hours this morning. It happened at about 8:21am at the intersection of Willow Street Pike and Golf Road.

The pickup, 2014 Dodge Ramdriven by Clint Banzhof of W. Vine St., Lancaster, was attempting to turn south on Willow Street Pike from Golf Road. Banzhof told police that his vehicle was unable to gain traction and was struck by a 2006 Peterbilt dump truck being driven by Robert Gilbert of Woleber Road in Myerstown. Gilbert was traveling north on Willow Street Pike.

Banzhof was conveyed to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Willow Street Pike was closed until approximately 11am.
