NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa.  -- Several people took to the sky to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation during a fundraiser on Saturday.

It will help children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions in Central Pennsylvania. The event featured free car, aircraft and train displays. There was also a flight simulator for donors to ride.

Some Make-A-Wish families were there, and say they can't express their thanks enough.

"It makes us feel great, we love to do stuff like this because we get to tell everybody like what Jack got to do, and how Make-a-Wish can really impact other people's lives," Megan Freeman-Parks, the mother of a child who benefited from the foundation says.

The event was hosted by Cargill Aeronautical Academy and Service Center. One grand prize winner received either a free flight lesson or if they happen to own a plane, they could get a free oil change.
