YORK, Pa.-- When someone doesn't understand another person's circumstances, the saying "walk a mile in their shoes" is often floated.
Now, you can really Walk a Mile in Her Shoes as the charity event comes to York on October 7.
The event asks men to literally walk one mile in women's high-heeled shoes. All proceeds benefit YWCA York programs geared to end violence against women and girls. This includes programs that provide individual and group counseling, legal and medical advocacy, prevention education, hotline response, hospital accompaniment, and shelter free of charge to victims of domestic & sexual violence and their loved ones.
