FALL SEASON STARTS OUT WARM

Hello, fall! What is the Autumnal Equinox?  The sun’s most direct rays move south of the equator.  Our days become shorter and shorter.

Even though we officially begin the fall season, the weather won’t feel like fall. We continue with well above average warmth. The humidity stays a couple more days before a very welcome change over the weekend. High temperatures for Thursday and Friday climb to the middle and upper 80s under mostly sunny skies.

FALL FEEL FOR THE WEEKEND

A strong cold front expected Saturday brings a taste of fall weather. It may trigger an isolated shower or thunderstorm early, then skies slowly clear. Highs struggle to reach 80 degrees. Canadian high pressure settles across the area and provides cooler air for the second half of the weekend. Morning lows plummet to the 40s and 50s. Despite plenty of sunshine, highs struggle through the upper 60s to hit 70 degrees. Winds are breezy out of the north much of the day.

SEASONABLE START TO THE WEEK

High pressure stays parked over the area for Monday. However, a warm front nears the area Tuesday bringing more clouds and possible shower.  It’s a cool, refreshing start to the day Monday, with morning lows in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees. Temperatures rebound to near 70 under mostly sunny skies. Tuesday, clouds increase as the warm front tries to push north.  While a shower is possible, most neighborhoods stay dry.  Highs are a tad warmer in the lower 70s. Wednesday, with the warm front north, we are placed in the warm sector before the cold front arrives and that allows temperatures to climb to the upper 70s under mostly sunny skies. Cold front does come through until Thursday or Friday.
