MORE DENSE AM FOG: Dense fog is beginning the day once again on this Tuesday throughout many locations in Central PA. The densest of the fog is expected to the northwest, but visibilities are greatly reduced for many spots elsewhere. Expect to need the extra minutes for the morning commute. Otherwise, temperatures begin in the 40s to middle 50s. The fog breaks through mid to late morning, allowing for plenty of sunshine. Skies turn partly sunny for the afternoon, with a few drops possible east. Afternoon highs are in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Clouds fade a bit through the evening, and temperatures drop quickly. Lows are in the middle 40s to lower 50s. A few areas of fog or haze is possible once again, but it’s not as widespread.
MORE SUNGLASSES DAYS: The sunshine continues for Wednesday and Thursday, possibly even much of Friday. Temperatures are milder as well, with readings in the lower to middle 70s. We’ll be watching for added high clouds Friday, as we closely follow the track of Hurricane Matthew. Temperatures could be influenced by cloud cover on Friday, but for now expect reading in the 70s.
WATCHING WEEKEND: Hurricane Matthew is expected to remain a key component in the forecast for the weekend. We’ll be watching the track to see if it’s close enough to the coast for gusty winds, clouds, and showers, especially east. For now, impacts look minimal overall for our region. This is still days away, and in the world of hurricane forecasting, this is plenty of time for changes. With the forecast being so changeable, continually check back to FOX43 for updates! More sunshine and cooler temperatures are likely for Sunday, with readings in the 60s. Sun and some clouds continues for Monday, and temperatures are still in the 60s.
Have a great Tuesday!
