LEACOCK TWP, Lancaster County, Pa- A 22-year-old man suffered serious injuries after the motorcycle he was riding crashed into a truck early Sunday morning.
According to state police, troopers attempted to stop the motorcyclist just after 3 a.m. Sunday, but he failed to stop. A police pursuit ensured and continued West along Old Philadelphia Pike (Rt. 340) entering into East Lampeter Township.
The motorcycle turned around near Old Philadelphia Pike and Eastbrook Road (Rt. 896), then headed east on Old Philadelphia Pike, where the motorcycle crashed into an oncoming truck between Mill Creek and Lynwood roads.
Police say the motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.
The crash and investigation closed Old Philadelphia Pike for six hours.
