UPPER ALLEN TWP., Cumberland County, Pa. — A Mechanicsburg man faces charges after police say he threatened family members with a handgun. It happened Sunday, October 16th in the 900 block of Sheffield Avenue. Police say Stephen C. Allen, 60, was arguing with family members when he threatened and pointed a handgun at them. The family got out of the house and Allen surrendered to police without incident.
Allen was arrested at the scene and transported to Cumberland County Prison for processing and arraignment on charges of Terroristic Threats, Simple Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person and Harassment. A preliminary hearing will be scheduled before District Judge Mark Martin at a later date.
