CARLISLE, Pa. — The months long investigation into the homicide of Daniel Harris at the American Legion on W Penn St has culminated in the arrest of Robert “Rocky “ Anderson. Agencies from across Cumberland County, The Pennsylvania State Police and the Cumberland County District Attorney’s office all played active roles throughout this investigation. Mayor Tim Scott said the brazen nature of the homicide was detrimental to the Carlisle community and affected the lives of many residents and the family of Mr Harris.
Police called Harris’ death an assassination. Daniel “DJ” Harris Jr. was sitting at a table when an unknown gunman struck him down, just before 1 am on an early Saturday morning at an American Legion Hall in Carlisle. There were about 20 people present, but no one saw what happened to Harris.
The case remained unsolved for months.
