WEST YORK,  Pa- Police arrested two teenagers on Halloween for pointing a BB gun at a group of trick-or-treater’s.

According to court documents, on Monday around 7:30 p.m. a group of kids, ages 8-19 years old, flagged down officers and began to tell them that two people in clown masks had threatened them while they were walking along S. Highland Avenue.

Panicked and scared, the kids proceeded to say that the two suspects were inside a white sedan that was circling around the neighborhood. At one point, the vehicle stopped and the driver pointed what appeared to be a loaded gun at the group.

Police were able to locate the sedan as it was circling back into the neighborhood again. The driver was identified as a 17-year-old juvenile and the passenger was identified as Luis Hernandez, 18.

Court documents state, that when Hernandez was stepping out of the vehicle he yelled to police “It ain’t even a real gun.”

Police found the handgun on the front passenger seat. They also found two full masks, one a plain black mask and one white with “sharp teeth” on the center console.

Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the gun was a BB gun without an orange tip. A full container of metal bb’s were also found on the passenger floor, court documents state.

Hernandez admitted to police that he was wearing the black mask and he tried to hide the gun when they were being stopped by police.

He also told them that him and the juvenile discussed and planned to go “clown hunting and mess with people” using the guns and masks. He claimed he did not own the gun or the mask, court documents state.

Hernandez now faces charges of simple assault, terroristic threats, and disorderly conduct. He was released from police custody after posting a $5,000 bail.

The juvenile was released to his parents.
