Police seek to ID suspect in West Shore burglaries/robbery

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. – The West Shore Regional Police Department is requesting assistance from the public in identifying a burglary suspect.  Investigators believe he is the suspect in two (2) robberies that occurred at a Lemoyne Business in early 2016.

The suspect is now also a person of interest in the robbery that occurred at the Carriage House located at 829 State Street in Lemoyne Borough on Friday, November 11.   Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the female victim, an employee of the store.  She told officers that a white male entered the store and appeared to be shopping around.  After some time, he grabbed the employee and forced her to get her purse and took an undetermined amount of cash from it.  The male bandit claimed to have a gun, although none was displayed and threatened to shoot people in the store. The suspect did assault the victim by throwing her to the floor prior to fleeing on foot towards Market Street.  Despite an intense search by police, the suspect managed to get away.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 40-50 years of age, 6 foot tall and average build.  He was wearing a hooded flannel jacket, tan, black, red and green along with dirty jeans. Police released several surveillance images of the suspect. Authorities also believed the suspect is familiar with the area.

Anyone with information is asked to contact West Shore Regional Police at (717) 238-9676.

Tips regarding this and any other crime can also be provided to Cumberland County PA Crime Stoppers Inc. at 1-855-628-TIPS (8477) or contact@cumberlandcrimestoppers.net
