Tractor trailer fire slows northbound I-83 traffic

YORK COUNTY, Pa. – A tractor trailer catches fire bringing northbound traffic on Interstate 83 in southern York County to a standstill.

The incident happened at about 4:41 p.m. at around mile marker 4, the Shrewsbury exit in Shrewsbury Township. The driver of the big rig escaped injury.

Traffic resumed moving in one northbound lane in less than an hour.  Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.

May want to steer clear of 83 north for a little bit…tractor trailer fire, hope everyone is ok.
