HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

warning-map-pa-winter

Traveling this evening is dry for most of us, except for an isolated shower, some mix is possible.  Areas across the northern part of the state may see a wintry mix, which includes sleet and freezing rain overnight into the morning.  Winter Weather Advisory goes into effect for counties in northern PA overnight into the morning.

Keep the umbrella handy for Thanksgiving Day, a few showers are possible but not much is expected at all.  In fact, less than .05” of an inch total is forecast.  It won’t be a washout so if you’re stuffed with good food and need to walk it off you’ll still be able too! Clouds are pessimistic; however, temperatures are still seasonable in the mid and upper 40s to near 50 degrees.

Speaking of walking, Black Friday shopping looks dry.  A jacket is a must in the morning with lows in the 30s. Temperatures are milder in the lower 50s.  Not much sunshine expected as our next system approaches fast bringing small shower chance in the evening but slightly higher threat overnight.   It doesn’t amount to much and they should be out of here early morning.

QUIET WEEKEND

Some upper-level energy keeps the clouds around and perhaps a few flurries for Saturday.   Winds pick up out of the northwest and stay breezy.  Colder air sliding in holds temperatures in the 40s.  More sunshine Sunday helps warm temperatures to near 50 degrees despite a chilly morning start.  Heading back to work, the week begins mild in the lower and middle 50s. Plenty of sunshine too.  A few showers possible late in the day Tuesday but it’s mild in the upper 50s. Still a mild day Wednesday but a better threat, and much need showers move in for the day. Expect them to be widespread with highs in the 50s.
