Update: As of 2:55 p.m. PPL has restored power in Harrisburg. PPL also confirmed that there was a tree limb on wires near Agate St.
Original story: PPL is reporting a power outage in the Harrisburg area. Currently there are 1,614 PPL customers affected.
The cause has not been confirmed but some customers are reporting that there are tree limbs on wires. PPL crews are on the way to look at a possible cause for the outage.
PPL is currently working to restore power.
