TURNING COLDER: Clouds have faded, leaving clear skies to begin this Wednesday morning. This allows temperatures to quickly drop into the 20s to start the morning. There’s a light wind at times before it turns a bit breezy through the day. Clouds begin to filter in during the afternoon as a more potent system arrives. Temperatures are colder in the lower to middle 30s, but in the wake of Wednesday’s system is a more potent blast of Arctic air! Expect mostly cloudy skies through the night, and temperatures begin to plummet. Some lake effect flurries are possible, especially west and northwest of Harrisburg. Lows fall into the teens.

WEEKEND SYSTEM: We’ll keep an eye on this next system for another wintry mess. Temperatures slowly rise through the weekend, so as our next system crosses through late Friday night into Saturday, the potential remains for another mixed bag of precipitation. With cold air well established, we accumulating snow is still a possibility before the transition to a wintry mix/rain through Saturday afternoon. It’s still way too early to iron out exact details and totals, and much can still change, so check back for updates through the rest of the week! A rain and snow showers are possible Sunday before skies are dry again Monday. After a mild Sunday with readings in the 40s, temperatures are knocked back down to cold readings in the 30s. It remains dry for Tuesday with sunshine.

Have a great Wednesday!
