PERRY COUNTY, Pa.– UPDATE: Police have identified the trash collector who died after a crash Thursday morning.

Charles Fisher, 39, of Duncannon, died during the incident.

Police determined that the incident occurred on Spring Road approximately 100 yards before Forest View Road.

Fisher was working on the driver’s side step of a stationary garbage truck when a 2012 Chrysler 300 sideswiped the truck on the driver’s side.

Fisher came to a final rest behind the driver’s side front tire.

Police are still investigating the crash.

PREVIOUSLY: Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a trash collector.

Police responded to a crash on Spring Road in the area of Victory Lane in Carroll Township.

A sedan reportedly struck the rear of a trash truck and a trash collector died at the scene.

There have been no other reported injuries at this time.
