Possible record warmth Wednesday, few spotty showers

We challenge yet another record on Wednesday before temps fall through the end of the week. Rain remains hard to come by, with a stray shower or two on Wednesday.

RECORD WARMTH: Well-above average temperatures are back across Central Pa., putting us in record territory yet again! The rest of Election Day is quiet, with no weather-related problems expected for anyone casting their votes before the polls close. Skies are partly to mostly clear, with even milder lows dipping into the middle 50s to near 60 degrees. The next cold front approaches Wednesday, and it brings mostly cloudy skies. It also brings the chance for a few spotty showers. Unfortunately, like previous weather systems from the last month or so, not much rain comes out of it for those who manage to get a shower. Temperatures remain very warm for early November, with highs in the middle to upper 70s! It’s possible to tie or exceed record warmth again depending on the showers and cloud cover.

A couple stray showers are possible Wednesday.

DRY & MILD: Temperatures drop through the end of the week with a return to dry conditions, but it’s still mild. Thursday temperatures peak in the middle to upper 60s with partly sunny skies. Friday is back to plentiful sunshine. It’s a bit less mild, with temperatures reaching the lower to middle 60s.

Temperatures slowly drop closer to seasonal averages through the weekend.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK: Another quiet and mostly dry weekend is ahead. Saturday brings a mixture of clouds and sunshine, with temperatures reaching the upper 50s to lower 60s. After some early morning peaks of sunshine of Sunday, clouds should thicken fast. Temperatures are more seasonal, hovering around 60 degrees. The next system brings the chance for some showers later Sunday, and it’s possible that a few showers linger into Monday morning. We’ll keep you posted on the timing, but fingers crossed for a little more rain than we’ve been getting as of late! It’s back to sunshine and dry conditions the rest of Monday and Tuesday. Highs remain mild, in the middle to upper 60s both days.
