ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. — A woman died after suffering a medical emergency while visiting the Elizabethtown Fair Tuesday afternoon, authorities in Lancaster County said.
The 55-year-old woman suffered the medical event at about 12:55 p.m., according to Elizabethtown Police.
Two members of the Northwest Regional Police Department, who happened to be eating lunch nearby, attempted emergency lifesaving measures and contacted Elizabethtown Police and EMS.
The woman was transported to a local medical facility by EMS, but later died as a result of her medical emergency, the police department said.
The Lancaster County Coroner's Office will examine the victim to determine the medical cause of death, but there is no reason to believe anything suspicious occurred, police said.
Police did not release the woman's identity.
