LANCASTER, Pa. — Update, July 31: Frisco's Chicken announced on Facebook that it will reopen its Lancaster location on Thursday, Aug. 1.

The Peruvian-style chicken restaurant is located at 454 New Holland Ave. in Lancaster.

Previously: A popular Lancaster chicken restaurant, which announced it was closing earlier this month, has decided to change up on its plans.

Frisco's Chicken, a Peruvian-style restaurant, on Thursday announced plans to bring back its original location in Lancaster, roughly two weeks after announcing plans to close on July 12.

In a video and message on the restaurant's Facebook page, owner Francisco “Frisco” Gomez De La Torre said it was the outpouring of support from fans that prompted him to change his mind.

While Frisco's locations in Lititz, Mount Joy and Willow Street are still closing, De La Torre said, the restaurant's original location on the 400 block of New Holland Avenue will open again at some point in the future.

"It’s your voices that have fueled our passion and commitment," Frisco's Facebook message said. "We’ve heard you loud and clear, and that’s why we’re pouring our hearts into bringing back the original Frisco’s Chicken in Lancaster City."

To hold fans over while they await Frisco's reopening, De La Torre announced the business is offering a new line of "Frisco's Forever" branded apparel and merchandise.

"This is our way of expressing gratitude and staying connected with each of you," he said.

"Keep an eye out for our reopening date – we’re just as excited as you are to welcome you back," Frisco's Facebook message concludes. "Until then, visit our link to shop and join the celebration of our community’s resilience and spirit. Together, we’re Frisco’s Chicken forever!"
