PENNSYLVANIA, USA — It's been quite the difference in weather the past 24 hours, thanks to a cold front ushering in a much cooler and drier air mass!
That's kicked summer to the curb and ushered in a taste of fall, for now.
Clear skies and quiet winds will allow temperatures to fall to some of the lowest numbers we've seen so far this season. You can expect morning low temperatures in the low 50s to upper 40s Wednesday morning.
That's 10-15 degrees below average for this time of the year!
Afternoon highs aren't bad either as they peak in the low 70s Wednesday afternoon. It comes with afternoon clouds once again and a bit of a breeze out of the north.
While this taste of fall is certainly some nice relief, how long can it really last?
Unfortunately, we'll be tracking a switch in the pattern as we go into the weekend with temperatures slowly warming every day and the humidity starting to rise too. By early next week, highs will be challenging 90 degrees once again.
Looking ahead to meteorological fall, which spans September 1st through the end of November, forecasts are hinting at an above-average season in terms of temperatures.
Meteorologists from the Climate Prediction Center have the Northeast with a favorable chance of seeing above average temperatures through the season.
