Man arrested in Juniata County following his second police chase in 24 hours, investigators said

SILVER SPRING TOWNSHIP (WPMT)-A Perry County man remains at large after leading police on a dangerous chase Sunday morning in Cumberland County, investigators said.
Police are looking for 21-year-old Isaiah Mallin of Newport. He is charged with fleeing and eluding a police officer, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, driving under the influence, illegal use of noxious substances and numerous traffic related violations.
Officers responded to the Wegmans parking lot along the 6400 block of Carlisle Pike in Silver Spring Township for a report of a man sitting in a vehicle huffing substances from an aerosol can around 7:26 a.m.
The man, later identified as Mallin, fled from police when officers tried to make contact with him, according to police reports. Mallin sped off going the wrong way down a one way street, nearly hitting a responding police cruiser.
The chase continued through several municipalities until officers were forced to terminate the pursuit in Mechanicsburg due to concern for public safety, police said.
